Expert Denver Plumbing Company Announces Affordable Kitchen and Bathroom Face-lift Strategies

Expert Denver Plumbing Company Announces Affordable Kitchen and Bathroom Face-lift Strategies

Denver, CO (PRWEB) April 19, 2012

Denver, CO – Everyone enjoys an upgrade but, if a complete bathroom and kitchen remodel does not fit the budget, a luxury look and modern updates can still be attainable.

The housing market is currently a buyers market, so many homeowners are opting to stay in their homes and making the best of what they have and finding ways to improve on that. “With the housing market in its current condition, folks are staying in their homes and upgrading them with new fixtures and faucets,” said Mike Redinger, owner of Rheo Systems Plumbing.

“Older homes usually have galvanized iron pipes, but homeowners are upgrading to copper pipes and getting their plumbing up to date and up to code,” said Mike. Copper is a more durable material, it can withstand extreme pressure and extreme heat as well as freeze thaw cycles.

A tankless water heater is another way to update an old water system. “A tankless water heater is an energy efficient water heating system that heats water only when it is needed,” said Mike. Heating water on demand allows for a continuous flow of hot water, so shower time is not interpreted by a blast of cold. According to Consumer Reports, heating water accounts for up to 30 percent of the average home’s energy budget. Tankless water heaters are an environmentally friendly alternative, they save energy, space and money. A tankless water heater only heats up the water on demand, instead of working to keep it hot all day and night. That translates into a savings of around $ 70 to $ 80 per year, based on 2008 national energy costs.

Mike is a master plumber and learned the trade over 20 years ago from his father, Louis, who is also a Master Plumber.

Gulf Shores-Based Company Offers Storm-Stricken Homeowners Free Online Home Improvement Management Services for Next 60 Days

Gulf Shores-Based Company Offers Storm-Stricken Homeowners Free Online Home Improvement Management Services for Next 60 Days

Gulf Shores, AL (PRWEB) March 14, 2012

In response to the recent weather-related destruction in parts of Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky and Alabama, an Alabama-based company is offering homeowners free assistance with managing and paying for repairs through local, licensed contractors.

Doug McCright CEO of Gulf Shores-based SafePact.com says they are offering their online contractor management and escrow services to local homeowners affected by the storms at no cost for the next 60 days.

According to McCright, SafePact.com provides “peace of mind” to homeowners who have concerns about finding and working with reputable home improvement contractors.

“The time period following natural disasters is critical for homeowners who are desperate to have their lives put back in order,” says Lin Saville, VP of Sales and a partner in SafePact, “and they often fall prey to disreputable out-of-town contractors who descend on the area looking to turn a quick buck.” SafePact.com offers homeowners a secure online portal, through which they can contact local contractors, arrange for and approve estimates, and even pay for services through a secure escrow account. Using a SafePact escrow account ensures that the contractor receives payment only after the terms of the contract have been met to the satisfaction of the homeowner.

“Homeowners like working with contractors who agree that payment should be contingent upon homeowner satisfaction,” says Saville. “SafePact.com helps homeowners weed out contractors who aren’t willing to wait for approval before payment. And, speaking as a professional who has spent most of my career working with contractors, I can tell you that contractors like the idea that the payment for the project is right there, waiting to be released after a job well done. Utilizing SafePact actually motivates reputable contractors to do the job right and on time—which is what victims of a natural disaster want more than anything.”

To find out more, visit http://www.SafePact.com. Information about SafePact services, a project calculator, and links to helpful resources are available free of charge. To contact SafePact directly, call Lin Saville at (205) 705-7982, or call SafePact’s office at (251) 517-3311. Toll Free: (855) 723-3722 . Fax:(855) 723-3721. E-Mail: info(at)safepact(dot)com. The Little Company That Could…

The Little Company That Could…

An installed vanity from a satisfied client.

Quinlan, TX (PRWEB) March 08, 2012

With the ever growing popularity of online shoppers, many consumers are turning to purchasing items from the comfort of their home. While this is much more preferable to some people, there are still many others that like to see an item in person before purchasing it. “That’s the problem with buying stuff online: What you get is not always exactly what was pictured and a lot of the time returning that item is a huge hassle. Either you can’t get someone on the phone, or you’re forced to send it back blind, hoping that you don’t have to fight to get a charge back to your credit card,” says Deborah Ketzer, a woman who has turned to online shopping for many of her purchases. “It’s almost easier to just go into the store and buy something. That way you get a much more personal experience and you know you’re going to be taken care of.”

Julia Ritzenthaler, owner of Unique Online Furniture, a group of e-boutiques that offer unique bathroom vanities and other home furnishings, knew that the sentiments Ketzer shared were common. Many consumers like the convenience of ordering from home, but don’t feel the security of dealing with the companies they are ordering from. That’s why, when she started her business in 2005, she made it a personal and professional goal to become one of the first and few “e-tailers” that offer quality items online without losing the brick and mortar experience. “We want clients to feel like someone is shaking their hand when they purchase from us. If you call, we’re going to answer. And if we can’t–you can rest assured that someone is going to call you back in a timely fashion.”

Developing a business model that was client focused wasn’t difficult for Ritzenthaler. “It was actually very simple. I just applied the ‘Golden Rule’ to my business plan: Treat clients as you would like to be treated.” What seems to be such a simple concept is actually one that many online retailers are ignoring and it shows. In a study done by Right Now Technologies, Inc. after the 2011 holiday shopping season, it was found that 32% of people interviewed had such a negative experience shopping online that they posted on the companies social media sites–and were ignored. Of that 32%, 61% said they would have been “shocked” if a retailer responded.

Ritzenthaler’s company can be found at the opposite end of these statistics. With a A Rating from the Better Business Bureau and no complaints–EVER–she and her team are proud to work for an American small business that still sees the client experience as an investment and not an expense. They are not just “the little company that could,” but the company that DOES. This can be seen not only in their BBB rating but additionally in their 5 star rating from Google, one of the many places that online consumers can now share and rate their experiences.

This business owner’s advice to consumers is very simple: “Do your homework.” She advises consumers to look into sites like the Better Business Bureau and other review sites before giving a company any business. Additionally, she recommends calling the company that you are looking to purchase from. Do they have client support staff to answer the phone? And if they do, are they knowledgeable? In her experience, Ritzenthaler notes, “You can tell a lot about a company by the systems they have in place to take care of clients and how effectively they do so.”

Green Mountain Energy Company Commits $50,000 to Help Fund Solar Array at Riverside Park

Green Mountain Energy Company Commits $ 50,000 to Help Fund Solar Array at Riverside Park

Manhattan, NY (PRWEB) February 17, 2012

Green Mountain Energy Company is donating $ 50,000 to the Riverside Park Fund to help install a solar array at Riverside Park on the Hudson River. The solar array will be part of the Green Outlook renovation project which will transform an abandoned parking lot into a scenic destination for the park’s visitors. Green Mountain presented a check to Mark McIntyre, executive director, Riverside Clay Tennis Association, for the first $ 5,000 installment at a fundraising event held at the home of NYC council member, Gale Brewer, guest hosted by CNN’s Fareed Zakaria. This is the first official corporate donation made to the Green Outlook project. The solar photovoltaic (PV) system will help reduce the park’s carbon footprint, as well as educate visitors about the benefits of solar energy.

“Green Mountain Energy Company is especially proud to donate these funds towards a solar array system to the Green Outlook project at Riverside Park,” said Paul Markovich, president of residential services, Green Mountain Energy Company. “Green Mountain has been giving New Yorkers the choice of pollution-free electricity for their homes and offices since 2009. Donating funds towards solar installations like this one helps us give back to the communities where our customers live, work, shop and play, while supporting our mission to change the way power is made.”

Green Mountain is making this donation through its Green Mountain EnergyTM Sun ClubTM — a unique program in which Green Mountain’s customers can choose to support solar donations to worthy non-profits by contributing an additional five dollars on their monthly electricity bill. The mission of the Sun Club is to fund, build and promote solar power while assisting organizations with a socially responsible focus to reduce their environmental footprints. For more information please visit http://www.gmsunclub.com.

“We are very excited about being one of the first Sun Club projects in New York state and we are very grateful for Green Mountain’s generous financial support,” said McIntyre. “As a provider of clean energy, Green Mountain shares our values and goal of reducing our collective carbon footprint. Additionally, they have been a great partner as a sponsor of our free concerts in the park. I look forward to continuing to work with Green Mountain in the future — a green future.”

About the Green Outlook Project at Riverside Park

The Riverside Park Fund and the Riverside Clay Tennis Association (RCTA) have launched a $ 6 million capital campaign to transform an abandoned parking lot south of the 96th Street Red Clay Tennis Courts into a landscaped Hudson River overlook with a wildflower meadow, a sustainable park maintenance building and a carbon-neutral public restroom, using compost toilet technologies, green roofs, solar energy, rainwater and recycled materials. The Green Outlook is an off-grid, self-contained, sustainable complex that will serve thousands of bicyclists, joggers, strollers, picnickers and tennis players. It will:

Replace an abandoned asphalt parking lot with a native wildflower meadow
Create an overlook with stunning views of the Hudson River
Provide Riverside Park and Hudson River Greenway users with a public restroom that employs solar energy, composting toilets and a green roof
Include on-site waste treatment and use, and storm water management
Build a green maintenance facility for the busy red-clay tennis courts and surrounding parkland and gardens
    Be entirely carbon-neutral
Serve as a model for future park improvements

For over 25 years the RCTA has maintained the ten world-class public courts near 96th Street in Riverside Park, one of New York City’s eight officially designated scenic landmark parks. With your support, it can provide much needed facilities that will benefit all users of the Hudson River Greenway and become a beacon of sustainability for New York City and beyond. Riverside Park Fund is a 501(c)3, tax-exempt organization. All donations are tax deductible. For more information or to make a donation, please visit http://www.greenoutlook.info.
